NYC International Bridal Week Recap

To say that the upcoming Spring Season is nothing less than gorgeous would be an understatement!  As we just got back from New York Bridal Week & The Couture Show; we are incredibly inspired to make you look your absolute best on your wedding day!  Bridal trends were dominated by soft feminine details such as ruffles, blush tones, keyhole backs, and intricate laces.  In bridesmaids, we saw lots of long flowing chiffon & bright bold color pallets.  Embellished belts were still prevalent in accessories, as well as art deco jewelry & floral headpieces.

We started off Day 1 with a good healthy breakfast!  Oatmeal, OJ and Coffee:)  Then it was off to the Pier for our appointments with some of our favorite designers such as Mori Lee, Watters Encore & Bel Aire Bridal.

Mori Lee's lace bateau neckline was stunning and the ivory/blush ombre gown was one of our most favorites of the weekend!

We ran into our good friend Gypsy, from Enchanted Brides Magazine!  It was so great to catch up with her!

Feathers, brooches & flowers these new hairpieces from AA Bridal will be perfect with our new gowns!

We stopped by to see Wedding Gown Preservation Company, our recommended source for cleaning & heirlooming your gown after your wedding.  Did we mention, they are now using 100% organic & natural cleaning solvents.  Very innovative!

The Watters Encore line was just at good as their first collection!  Short, informal and classic; these dresses are perfect for numerous occasions.  They even added a long dress, with our favorite keyhole of the entire weekend!

Loved this booth display!  Soft blush and neutral tones were definitely trending in bridal gowns!

We stopped by Nicole Miller to take a peek!  Then we were off to our final appointment of the day with Haute Bride!  It was the perfect ending to Day 1: Cocktails, Sparkle, and the Most Gorgeous Accessories! There is a reason they are our favorite:)

Day 2 kicked off at the Couture Show with the Maggie Sottero Runway Show where the designer celebrated its 15th year in business.  Fun fact: We have carried Maggie from Day 1!

Then it was off to Blush & Hayley Paige: where we saw soft laces, elegant satin & beadwork, and lots of feminine frills!

Our last appointment of Day 2 was at one of our most favorites and the newest addition to An Elegant Affair:
Mikaella Bridal
Based out of Toronto Canada, these gowns are exquisite down to every last detail.  From the craftsmanship to the quality of fabrics; Mikaella is going to be an instant favorite!  Not to mention Fred is one of our closest friends in the business!

As you can see it was a full & eventful weekend finding the perfect apparel & accessories for you!  We just can't wait for you to see them too!  It is going to be an amazing Spring Season!
